Whether mediation is the right procedure for your situation is best clarified in person. You describe what is at stake. I listen, give it a frame, and tell you honestly whether I am the right counterpart.

What you may outline in your enquiry

So that I can place your situation and prepare a first conversation sensibly, it is helpful — though not required — if you sketch in a few lines:

• What it is about, in two or three sentences
• Who is involved (how many, in what relation — no names needed)
• What you hope a conversation will give you
• If relevant: a timeframe or any urgency

If this is too much at the first step, write simply that you would like to be in touch. We will work out the rest together.

What is clarified in the preliminary conversation

The preliminary conversation is not a hidden sales conversation. It serves to give an honest assessment of whether mediation is the right procedure for you.

• Whether your situation is suitable for mediation — or whether another procedure would fit better
• How a procedure in your constellation could broadly look
• What timeframe and what financial scale are realistic
• How we approach the other side, if that has not yet happened
• What the next steps would be, should you decide to proceed

The preliminary conversation is without obligation. You decide afterwards whether and how things continue.

Confidentiality

What you write to me I treat confidentially — even if no mediation comes about in the end. This is not only an obligation of professional ethics, but the foundation that makes an open preliminary conversation possible at all.

Location and format

I conduct mediations in a neutral room in Stuttgart, in an online setting, or — in exceptional cases and where the occasion calls for it — on site. Which format is sensible for you we discuss in the preliminary conversation.
